Laurio's Pancit Malabon: (Possibly the Pancit Malabon that will give Amber's a run for their money)

If you've ever had family gatherings or office meetings, then, you're probably well aware of Amber's right? Who wouldn't? If you are from the Philippines specifically in Metro Manila, surely you would have ordered from them atleast once. I used to be a fan of Amber's until I encountered ordering from their Bacoor, Cavite branch located at Aguinaldo Highway near SM Bacoor, Christmas, some 3-4 years ago. We ordered ahead of time so that we can be scheduled  and be put on their list because we were anticipating the Christmas rush knowing a lot of people would be ordering from them for their noche buena. December 24th rolled by and we constantly followed up only to be left hanging at the end of the day. They kept telling us that our order is being prepared already or it's already in transit but nearing noche buena time, we were told that they could no longer fulfill the order because their staff had already gone home. Sucks right? Luckily we had some back up spaghetti sauce and some pasta hanging around the house so we were able to whip up something to welcome the 25th.

From then on, we boycotted them. We swore never to order from them again. They tried damage control by giving us our supposed order for Media Noche instead and upgrading it to the biggest bilao/tray they have available. We said sure, but our minds were saying Whatever! Damage has been done so never again.

Here comes Laurio's...

I've been seeing this every time I cruise along Aguinaldo Hi-way around Niog. Nestled among all those establishments, you can't miss it as it is the only bright yellow sign amongst all of them.

They have a lot to offer on their menu and everything is open for delivery! Perfect for your parties and gatherings. (Note: we've tried their pichi-pichi and we've decided it's not their strongest suit.)

Here's a reference guide for their "bilao" sizes. And if you are just around the area and is just hungry for Pancit Malabon, they also have a small dining area if you want to eat there right on the spot.

We already ordered bilaos of their Pancit Malabon before and it was a sure hit amongst our guests but I decided to order a Solo size this time to take home with me.

Costs a little bit more compared to the competition but dang! You can actually see REAL bits of shrimp and squid on there not just cabbages hidden under a thick sauce (compared to the more popular competition). Seasoned just right and no need for calamansi anymore as it is already infused within their sauce. Sarap!(Delicious!) One single serving costs Php 70.00 (under $2) but don't let that fool you. One serving is actually very filling!

So, if you would like to try something new and probably a better choice for Pancit Malabon, I strongly suggest you try ordering from Laurio's. Not all branches are created equal but so far, we haven't encountered any problems ordering from their branch in Niog, Bacoor Cavite. But if you're from Imus and Molino, I think they also have a branch nearby to cater to orders from that area, just add in ample time, say, atleast 2 hours, to the actual time you need your orders to arrive to avoid any hassle with late delivery.

If you want to order, just check their fb page and send them a message:

Till then,
